Today, on April 22, 2024, Jamyang High School Leh commemorated Earth Day with enthusiasm and commitment towards environmental conservation. The day commenced with a solemn oath-taking ceremony by both students and teachers, pledging to maintain the school premises clean and green.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Tsering Tundup emphasized the significance of preserving our planet and stressed the responsibilities of humanity in adopting eco-friendly lifestyles.
In the first session, a collective cleanliness drive was conducted by students and teachers, exemplifying their dedication towards maintaining a clean environment. Subsequently, the Social Science and Science departments led a demonstration on recycling methods, spearheaded by Mam Nakdon and Mr. Tundup.
The day culminated with a plantation drive led by senior students from classes 7th to 10th, symbolizing their commitment to nurturing and protecting nature.
The Earth Day celebration at Jamyang High School Leh served as a poignant reminder of our collective duty to safeguard our home planet and promote sustainable practices for a greener future.
