On August 14, 2023, Jamyang High School Leh celebrated its 16th Foundation Day with enthusiasm and patriotism. The event commenced at 10:00 am, symbolically coinciding with the upcoming Independence Day of India. The festivities began with the hoisting of the national flag accompanied by the singing of the national anthem.
The esteemed chief guest for the occasion was Mrs. Tanu Tiwari, a representative from Vidya Devi Jindal School (VDJS) in Hisar, Haryana. Mrs. Tiwari, along with a team of 30 volunteer students from VDJS, visited Jamyang School as part of the Ladakh Service Project.
A special guest, Shri Tsering Namgyal, the Honorable Councillor of LAHDC Lower Leh, also attended the event. His presence added to the significance of the occasion and underscored the school's importance within the local community.
